Research interests

Self-regulated learning - effects on achievement, educational motivation and goal orientations of students and teachers in university contexts; use of new media and gamification to promote self-regulated learning and educational motivation; implementation and transfer research - implementation of evidence-based interventions in educational contexts.  


Elisabeth Pelikan first completed her training as a kindergarten teacher at the Educational Institute for Kindergarten Pedagogy in 1210 Vienna and subsequently worked in various contexts with children between one and six years of age. From 2014, parallel to this work, she began studying psychology at the University of Vienna. From 2016 to 2018, she also worked as a student assistant and tutor in the field of university teaching.

In January 2019, she completed her master's degree in psychology (focus on health, development and promotion) with honors. Since February 2019, she is a university assistant and PhD student at the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology.
