CV
In 2012, Birgit Leidenfrost received her Doctorate in Psychology at the University of Vienna. As part of her dissertation, she was a research associate in the Cascaded Blended Mentoring project, as well as a lecturer in the field of educational psychology. From 2012 to 2022, Dr. Leidenfrost was responsible for the organization and implementation of the Supervised Orientation Tutorial (SOT) for first-year students of psychology as well as the training and supervision of student advisors who supervised the first-year students in small groups as part of SOT. In 2024, she was awarded the "UNIVIE Teaching Award" and the "UNIVIE Teaching Star" for the Practice-Oriented Seminar in Psychology.
Teaching Focus
Birgit Leidenfrost has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology since 2012 with a very diverse range of courses. This includes courses in the Bachelor's degree program in Psychology that aim at basic scientific concepts, methods and competences, or at practice-oriented application of psychological knowledge, as well as in-depth and application-oriented seminars in the Master's program in Psychology.
