MMag. Dr. Christoph Burger

Christoph Burger completed two graduate degrees at the University of Vienna (Mag. rer. nat. in Psychology in 2012; Mag. phil. in Teacher Training in English and Psychology/Philosophy in 2016) and various postgraduate courses (2015: Clinical and Health Psychologist; 2019: Crisis/Emergency Psychologist). In 2023, he received his Doctorate in Psychology (Dr. rer. nat.) from the University of Vienna, for which he was awarded the Impact Award 2022 of the University of Vienna.

Dr. Burger has been teaching at the Faculty of Psychology since 2013 and has been a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology since 2024. He also works very closely with the Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology. He has received several awards for his outstanding teaching: In 2020, he received the "Teaching Award for Early Career Researchers" from the Faculty of Psychology, followed by the "UNIVIE Teaching Award" and the "UNIVIE Teaching Star" in 2024. Dr. Burger's teaching activities focus on the areas of educational psychology and quantitative research methods. He pursues the goal of designing practice-oriented lessons and innovative teaching methods that take student learning to a new level.
